Jessie had a full, happy first Christmas. We must have worn her out because she slept better Christmas night than any other night in her life - a wonderful present to her Momma! She wasn't sure about the presents at first, but was starting to get the hang of it by the afternoon when we caught her ripping open Uncle Billy's present. Tomorrow we go to Missoula for Christmas number 2 with my mom, brothers, and their girlfriends. It should be another exciting day for her.
It's been a big week for Jessie. She started clapping a few days ago and yesterday I walked in the living room to find her standing up next to the couch. She thinks pulling up is the bee's knees - much more fun then taking a nap in her crib. We will be lowering the crib a notch today. She's also feeding herself a lot better now. I just put half of a banana in front of her for breakfast, and she picks it up and eats the majority of it one bite at a time (Sammy cleans up what falls on the floor).
Here's few pictures of Jessie's visit with Santa. She didn't cry, but smiling was not on the agenda. She mostly was interested in who the strange man was that was holding her.
As the Christmas/New Years holidays draw nearer, with two four day weekends this year, I become less and less able to focus and get any work done. Luckily, the holidays have brought with them a slight reprieve in my calendar to go along with my sudden adult onset ADD. Jessie, of course, has no idea that any holiday is impending. She likes the presents under the tree though, and the new toys arriving in the mail periodically.
We changed the title and look of the blog today. The readership may comment at their own risk. Leier gets free rein of course.
Granny and Mom set up a makeshift studio at Granny's house today. They both took lots of pictures of me. Here's some of the pictures Mom and Dad took on their camera.
Full disclosure: In images 5969 and 5970, I'm not really standing on my own. Granny is helping me from behind the blanket.
