Yesterday Jessie figured out how to do a somersault by herself. She's been trying for months and finally got it.
Friday the 13th seemed to be about over without incident when I heard a strange noise I couldn't place while Greg and I were in the basement watching a movie. I went upstairs to check on Jessie and found her doing this crazy wheezing beside her bed. It looked like she was having a hard time breathing, so we rushed her to the ER. The doctor quickly reassured us that it was the croup and she was getting plenty of oxygen. It was by far the scariest moment I've had thus far as a parent. We had no idea what was going on. Jessie started to have a little runny nose Friday afternoon, but otherwise showed no sign of getting sick. So to see her making these crazy sounds with every breath 2 hours after she went to sleep totally shocked us. They gave her a breathing treatment and a steroid and we were back home in about an hour. Now we know to bring her out in the cold to make her feel better.
